World renowned talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw has been under a severe amount of scrutiny the past month after attempting to help Britney Spears when she was hospitalized at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in early January.

The former psychologist arrived at the hospital by request of Britney’s family, particularly her mom, Lynne Spears. But when McGraw released a statement saying he thought the troubled pop tart need medical help, his attempt to assist the 26-year-old mom quickly became viewed as a selfish act for publicity.

Immediately following the release of his statement, Dr. Phil began seeing the impact of his ill-placed words. Many believed that McGraw breached Ms. Spears’ confidentiality by announcing to the world that she needed help (even though it’s blatantly obvious).

Dr. Phil appeared on Good Morning America this morning, to talk to Diane Sawyer in his first interview since the scandal.

McGraw, while defending most of his actions and insisting he never meant to betray the trust of the Spears family, did admit that he should have never made the statement in the first place. He claims that, by making a statement, he would put to rest any rumors that may have falsely indicated why he showed up to the hospital that day.

Dr. Phil also took this interview as an opportunity to crush rumors that his wife had left him because of the incident.

She was having so much trouble with flat tires, it seems Britney Spears opted for a new car. And it isn’t just any car.

The “Gimme More” singer said “Gimme that!” when she saw her new 2008 Mercedes Benz SLK 320 convertible. And when the two-seater - which she paid an up-front amount of $55,000 for - was delivered yesterday, she just had to take it out for a spin.

Unfortunately, her sense of direction didn’t improve, and Brit had to stop and ask the trailing paparazzi for directions during her hour-long tour of Hollywood Hills.

Spears was wearing a pair of jeans and a black jacket with brown leather knee-high boots. Thankfully she didn’t run out of gas, ‘cause those boots didn’t look like they were made for walkin’.

After taking a spin in her new Mercedes Benz earlier in the evening, a British Britney Spears was up to her usual with Sam Lufti in the midst of her family allegedly trying to stage an intervention.

According to a source on the scene, “She kicked off the late night doings by checking into The Beverly Hills Hotel, emerging approximately two hours later at midnight donning a familiar pink wig and making her way to the local Rite Aid to pick up numerous items including the laxative Correctol.”

As the sun began to rise, “Spears made a pit stop at a Malibu gas station where she bought a mega case of Red Bull, and promptly began to down one upon returning to the passenger seat of her car.”

The source finishes off the recount of the night, telling: “By the time Spears made her way back to her Beverly Hills home the sun was bright in the sky and Britney seemed to be in a fighting mood, yelling and cursing at Sam to let her drive.”

Adnan Ghalib, the enigmatic, some would say creepy, photog that Britney befriended December 22 and who infamously said he was ‘hoping she [Britney] was pregnant with my child’ has dabbled with male ‘enhancement’ products in the past.

He was part of a group of 12 men who enrolled on the website SexHealthReview.com to try out the numerous libido enhancement products available over the internet, reports Pagesix.com

SexHealthReview.com strives to bring “the most up-to-date and accurate information for men that are interested in improving their sexual health” through “unbiased reviews for the pills, programs and other various products.”

Ghalib is listed as ‘Adnan G’ on the site along with others members of the test panel and can be identified with his photo and trademark facial foliage. He introduces himself as follows.

I work in “the” industry in Los Angeles and I know many of my friends use these products. Thought this would be an interesting opportunity to reveal the truth to many men worldwide.

Britney Spears’ “manager,” Sam Lutfi, sent a series of angry text messages to her boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, warning the celebrity news photographer he was “killing her” and setting off Sunday night’s massive blowup.

The spat erupted after a hysterical Britney Spears was pictured sitting barefoot outside her L.A. home, sobbing on the pavement.

Adnan Ghalib received text messages from Sam Lufti which read:

“You’re a manic trigger. If you continue to have any contact with her, you’ll kill her.”

“It’s your decision. You need to cease all contact with her completely.”

“I’ve tried to work with you helping her but you didn’t do as asked only way to help now is disappear. She’s never been this way before.”

The drama came when Britney reportedly fought with Lutfi over her tryst with Adnan Ghalib, prompting the singer to call Ghalib for help.Ghalib arrived, but was denied entry to the premises as uber-shady Osama Lutfi warned security not to let him in - and turned Britney’s many mobile phones off to ensure he could not reach her, according to the Daily Mail.

The feud between Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lutfi has been raging for weeks.

“They hate each other,” says a source, adding that: “Sam doesn’t think Adnan is good enough for Britney and Adnan hates the control Sam somehow has on her. Britney is just caught in the middle.”

Sam Lutfi reportedly initiated the argument over Adnan Ghalib, warning Britney Spears that her photographer boyfriend is a bad influence.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle brown.

Britney later left with another paparazzo (we think Filipi Teixeira) before meeting up with Ghalib as her father, Jamie Spears, and police arrived.

Many media observers believe that the pair’s differences also center on which celebrity photo agency Britney chooses to align herself with.

Ghalib works for Finalpixx. Lutfi is rumored to have a deal in place with X17 in which they take Britney Spears photos and he gets a cut.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake used to be Hollywood’s favorite couple. The two highly successful musicians showed so much promise, both independently and as a pair. But when the relationship hit a rocky spot in early 2002, Brit and JT called it quits and haven’t rekindled their spark since.

It was after her breakup with Justin Timberlake that Britney began spiraling out of control. When she began dating Kevin Federline everyone thought it was a publicity stunt that would end in a couple of months, but it ended up turning into more - way more!

Justin was clearly devastated by his breakup with the pop princess. The world renowned musician expressed his hurt through songs like Cry Me a River and What Goes Around Comes Around. The former NSync member even went as far as to imply that Brit-Brit cheated on him - possibly with her future husband, Kevin Federline.

And while the world continues to wait for a reunion between Hollywood’s former IT couple (providing Britney gets her act together), many are wondering if the one person who truly made an impact on Spears is the one person who can pull her out the turmoil and back onto the top of the charts.

Last year, JT announced that he would be willing to help the troubled pop tart get back on track - even going as far as to extending an offer for a duet between himself and his former flame.

Wonder if the offer is still on the table.

Britney Spears’ paparazzo lover Adnan Ghalib has dismissed reports that he is attempting to sell private videos of the troubled pop star.

The British born photographer, who has been dating the Toxic star since December (07), has been accused of selling the home movies of the singer to the media for a reported 2 million dollars.

The footage features Spears sitting around in her nightwear having an intimate conversation.

However, now the celebrity photo agency that employs Ghalib has released a statement insisting the snapper is not trying to cash in on Spears’ messy state.

The statement from Finalpixx reads, “If you read on Perez (Hilton, celebrity Internet blogger) or anywhere else about Adnan selling some weird videos with Britney, please know that it is all lies. No such tapes exist.”

Details of Sam Lufti’s deposition with K-Fed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, have yet to be released, but it has been hinted that Lufti brokered a deal on behalf of Britney Spears with a celebrity photo agency.

The gist? The paparazzi group gets free rein to take whatever Britney Spears photos it wants and Spears gets a cut of the profits. It has also been hinted that Sam Lufti is one shady character - not that this is news to us.

The New York Post’s Page Six reports …

“Britney Spears’ constant companion and ‘manager,’ Sam Lufti, has had three restraining orders taken out against him in California before hopping on the pop tart’s crazy train. Danny Haines, one of the people who obtained a court order against Lufti, says Sam told him he should “just kill himself” when their friendship soured. Sam Lufti was “even more jealous than a lover,” Haines tells Blender magazine. He says Lufti would go to extremes, telling him he was a “worthless mother[bleeper]” one minute and that he “loved” him the next.” “When Haines eventually cut him off, Sam Lufti humiliated him, e-mailing naked photos of him to his family, friends and co-workers. He texted and called incessantly and, according to court documents, told Haines he hoped his sister would be “raped to death.” Haines says that in one e-mail to him, Lufti wrote of Haines’ mother that he hoped “Satan devours her flesh and bones” and he looked forward to the day he could ‘piss on her burial.’”

It’s almost like a scene out of a lame high school memory. Reportedly Britney Spears’ manager/pal Sam Lutfi and her boyfriend Adnan Ghalib both have it out for each other.

According to a source, Sam is trying to “protect” Britney from the paparazzo’s negative influence. He allegedly text messaged Adnan, “You’re a manic trigger. If you continue to have any contact, you’ll kill her. It’s your decision.”

Lutfi also went behind the “Gimme More” singer’s back and talked to world-famous television journalist Barbara Walters about the whole ordeal.

On her show yesterday, Barbara said, “Britney, I assume, is starting some kind of treatment. Sam got in touch with us. I can’t vouch for this. He said that Britney is suffering from what he described as mental issues which are treatable.”

After that, Brit and Sam had a massive altercation, as reported by the Gossip Girls in a story earlier today.

From Adnan’s point of view, Lutfi is verbally abusing and trying to take control of the troubled singer. He told press, “Sam continued to verbally abuse Britney as she sat barefoot on the curb at her Summit home crying holding her dog London.”

Ghalib’s photo agency commented, “When Adnan then tried to call Britney it seems that Sam had turned all of her cell phones off.”

After her marathon Monday night, a seemingly disheveled and distressed Britney Spears popped out earlier this morning with mother Lynne and manager Sam Lufti in tow.

According to a witness, “After spending twenty minutes in the parking lot, seemingly having a heated conversation, Britney emerged from her Cadillac Escalade in a see through lace top hastily covered by an inside out and backwards sweater.”

The insider continued: “Not in the mood for smiles she walked on, coffee cup and Kabbalah text in hand to perhaps wake up, car shop, and find spiritual guidance.”

Meanwhile, other sources tell that there is a strained relationship between Lufti and the Spears camp. “The family is staging an intervention so Britney can get help for her bipolar disorder. Family sources say they are furious at Lutfi, claiming he pushed Brit into going to B.H. Mercedes today to buy a new car - in the middle of the effort to save her.”
