In a statement to CNN’s Anderson Cooper Britney Spears’ parents have expressed dismay at the release of their daughter from the UCLA Medical Center against their wishes and the wishes of ‘her treating psychiatrist.’ They fear the action could endanger her life.

“As parents of an adult child in the throws of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe. We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court’s orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted.”

The new issue of Rolling Stone features Britney Spears on the cover, and analyzes her incredible downward spiral within. The alleged music magazine may not offer much in the way of insight, but does make some new revelations:

The singer’s mother, Lynne Spears, allowed Britney to get breast implants as a teenager. But after going under the knife, “she regretted the implants, particularly because her chest was still growing,” a friend says. “When her natural breasts became larger, she had the implants removed.” But Spears kept the surgery a secret. Adds the friend, “When other girls had their boobs done [they admitted it] and moved on, but Britney was brought up to lie about herself.”

Back on the scene after being released from the UCLA psych ward earlier today, Britney Spears has left her house and checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Followed to the hotel by a convoy of 20+ paparazzi, Spears was “promptly escorted inside the hotel with help of local police and, according to ExtraTV, she even came face to face with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife Maria Shriver.”

Also of note, Britney has a new chauffeur - Lindsay Lohan’s former bodyguard, who just so happens to be an ex-Israeli Army soldier.

According to insiders, “It’s understood Spears’ parents, who have taken control of her legal, financial and security affairs, hired the new minder.”

Britney Spears expressed her unhappiness towards being locked in the UCLA Medical Center this week and all of her complaining seems to have worked. The troubled pop tart has officially been released from, what was supposed to be, a fourteen day hold.

A source has confirmed to PEOPLE that Brit-Brit left the hospital earlier today and was seen leaving her Summit home in Los Angeles later on.

According to medical experts, only Brit’s psychiatrist Dr. Deborah Nadel has the authority to deem Spears fit enough to leave the medical center.

There has been no sign of Spears’ former friend/manager Sam Lutfi (who is not allowed to see the pop wreck because of a restraining order obtained by Lynne and Jamie Spears) or Brit’s pap boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.

Lynne and Jamie Spears have also been M.I.A since the singer’s release.

There’s no word yet on whether Britney plans to continue an outpatient program but we’re guessing it’s highly suggested Dr. Nadel.
