Britney Spears got all purpled up and headed out to eat at Maestro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills for some fine dining with her dad. And on this particular Saturday night, she had reason to celebrate!

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the troubled pop tart was finally reunited with her two sons, nearly two months after she last saw them.

Elliot Mintz, a spokesman for Kevin Federline, told press: “She spent about three hours Saturday with 1-year-old Jaden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston, with Jamie and Britney’s psychiatrist in attendance.”

Meanwhile, a source involved in the case thinks that the Gimme More singer should be patting her pops on the back, saying: “The real hero was [Spears’s father] Jamie. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again.”

It’s been a long wait since January 3rd, when Britney Spears last saw her two sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. And today, that wait came to an end.

The “Toxic” mommy was reunited with the boys after her lawyers and those of ex-husband Kevin Federline reached an agreement regarding the pop singer’s visitation rights.

This morning, Jayden and Sean were taken from Federline’s Tarzana house and were driven by his bodyguard to Brit’s studio city mansion. And according to a source, the “Gimme More” singer’s father Jamie Spears was the unsung hero in this whole ordeal.

An insider told press, “The real hero was [Spears’s father] Jamie. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again.” Reportedly it was a supervised visit, with Spears’ psychiatrist monitoring the interaction.

Lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline hammered out an agreement Friday, February 22, that allows Britney to visit her kids again under controlled settings.

LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon has signed off on the agreement which has been in the works for over a week now.

Britney’s visitations were not restored during the last hearing on the custody case Tuesday, February 19, because of the inability of the two sides to agree to the details.

Elliot Mintz, a spokesman for Federline and his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, credited Britney’s father and co-conservator, Jamie Spears, for creating the conditions that made Federline comfortable with Britney seeing the children again.

“James Spears went a long way in terms of stabilizing an environment that surrounded Britney which was wildly in flux,” Mintz said. “It’s clear Britney is in a different place now than she was a week or two ago.”

Mintz says Jamie will be present during Britney’s visitations.

According to TMZ, Kevin Federline took their two children Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to visit Britney Friday evening, February 22.

Britney last saw her children on January 3, during the bizarre stand off with the police and her subsequent forced hospitalization.

Following the stand off her visitations were suspended by Commissioner Gordon on January 4 and Federline was given sole physical and legal custody.
