Britney and Paris are turning to the toughest peeps in Hollywood for security — the Jews. Wait, what?

As TMZ TV found out, Jews in Hollywood aren’t just accountants and studio execs anymore.

Britney Spears’ former assistant, Alli Sims, turned up for Thursday’s Montblanc Oscar brunch at Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson’s LA villa, where the brand offered up a showcase of its red-carpet diamond jewelry. The aspiring pop tart bragged to guests about her upcoming album and bopped along to the tune of Spears’ “Piece of Me.” While photographer Roger Moenks, Nicky and Kathy Hilton, Joan Collins and Tara Reid mingled, Hollywood A-list stylist George Bloodwell was busy scoping out a $5 million Montblanc diamond necklace for Helen Mirren to wear to the Academy Awards. But Marla Maples also fell in love with the piece and wore it around all afte noon.

Britney Spears’s klieg-lighted meltdown sent her to the psychiatric ward twice, and left her long-divorced parents, her brother, and a SWAT team of lawyers and accountants grappling with how to protect her from predatory hangers-on, from the paparazzi who dog her every move and from her own erratic behavior.

Beyond the psychodrama being played out on tabloid covers, celebrity-news shows and gossip Web sites is another serious subject for the Spears family: how to protect the millions of dollars that Ms. Spears, 26, has amassed over a decade as one of America?s biggest pop music, merchandise and endorsement engines.

It’s impossible to say how much money she has. Published estimates of her net worth have varied wildly, up to $125 million. But one of her former financial advisers, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of his relationship with his client, estimated her current fortune at around $50 million.

TMZ has obtained documents filed today in Federal court in the Britney Spears conservatorship case and her lawyers have made it clear — Brit’s not the Bank of America.

Jamie Spears’ lawyers claim attorney Jon Eardley, who filed the motion to remove the case to Federal court, has triggered a flurry of legal moves that have already cost Brit more than $40 grand.

For his part, attorney Jon Eardley claims he was retained by Britney on February 12 and has spoken with her on several occasions. He says the last time she attempted to call him, “the telephone was taken away from her, and the number was disconnected the next day.”

Eardley says Brit has “never been and is not now on comfortable terms with her live-in father conservator” and claims that he is “concerned for the emotional and physical safety of Britney.”

Fading from the spotlight after her pregnancy announcement, Jamie Lynn Spears is making the news again for reasons actually worth noting. The 16-year-old Zoey 101 star is getting a jump on her education by passing her GED.

Spears passed her high school equivalency exam just under a month ago, and is planning on taking the ACTs to apply for college. This move would put the Nickelodeon star ahead of the average student by only being 17 years old when she could theoretically start college classes.

According to one of Jamie Lynn Spear’s friends, “She wants to take her ACT. She’s not wasting any time. People don’t know her. When she gets something in her head, she’ll make it happen. Everybody is so supportive of her.”

This is a strong move by Spears in the wake of her pregnancy with Casey Aldridge. Pregnancy would prevent most teenagers from making it to college, but it would appears that Jamie Lynn is bucking the trend and setting a positive example for other young girls that are in her similar situation.

While other celebrities were at the Academy Awards, Britney Spears and her father, Jamie Spears, had a quieter night out. Probably a good thing.

As we’ve talked about at length Jamie Spears has been instrumental in getting Britney Spears help since he re-entered the picture last month.

While she gets treatment for bipolar disorder, Jamie and mom Lynne are helping Britney Spears steer clear of invasive, negative influences.

Namely Sam Lutfi.

Even her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is delighted to see her getting her life back on track - and crediting her father. This weekend, Britney reunited with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James for the first time since January 3.

K-Fed’s publicist recently said in a statement:

“Jamie Spears went a long way in terms of stabilizing an environment that surrounded Britney Spears, which was wildly in a flux. It’s clear that Britney is in a different place now than she was two weeks ago.”

What’s $150,000 get a TV channel? Access to Kevin Federline, but with strings attached.

According to an email Radar obtained between Federline wranglers DMand Entertainment and his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin’s camp is willing to pimp him out to the highest bidder. (Not the shocking part.) But for such a “low” fee, the deal would entail a sit down with Kevin that only discussed his singing and acting “career,” and not any discussion about a one Ms. Britney Spears.

The television channel in question isn’t named, and it’s probably for the best. Let’s not find out, and have to feel embarrassed for, whichever executive producer OKs a fee of that size for an interview of such little import.

But in case you do want to guess, a bit of the redacted email is after the jump. Do your best at making out the characters.

Our best guess? The channel’s name is something like “H_____d Channel.” Thought we went through a bevy of listings, including inappropriate choices like Hallmark and History Channel, and couldn’t find a match.
