The latest rumor about KFed and Jaime Spears (Brit’s dad) is that the two may join forces in the purchase and management of a Mexican restaurant.

The two who were recently seen spending some time on the golf course plan to take over a local restaurant and are the venture is likely to be funded by Britney whether directly through her approval or indirectly through the financial support she provides both with.

A source said:

“K-Fed wants to take over a Mexican place in LA with him and Jamie as managers.
“The restaurant, called Casa Cordobes, has been a favorite of Kevin’s for a while. He ate there with Britney. Now the owner wants to retire he really wants to run it.
“Kevin and Jamie get along well nowadays and Jamie is keen to get back into the restaurant game.”

Jamie who already had one failed eatery venture which was funded by Britney as well has the itch again and is considering this offer seriously. “He still works as a private caterer, so he’s excited at the chance,” said the source.

Don’t you think this is a conflict of interest of some sort having Jamie spend Britney’s money on a restaurant with Kevin?

Britney Spears dined out with Oscar winning actor and filmmaker Mel Gibson at Romanov Restaurant and Lounge on Ventura Blvd. early Saturday evening, March15. The two were together for nearly two hours.

So what is the news you may well ask?

Ironically, Britney makes as much news, if not more, being just normal as she did during her pink wig British Britney days! She creates more buzz dining with a talented actor and respected filmmaker like Mel Gibson than she ever did dining out with an Adnan Ghalib or Sam Lutfi!

However, since its Hollywood that we are dealing with, like everyone else we too are wondering what the meeting over dinner was all about?

A role for Britney in Mel’s next film?

“It’s unlikely that they were talking about working together on anything specific,” an industry insider told OK!. “Although Mel has used a lot of inexperienced actors in his last two films.”

Coping with the stress of being under close scrutiny of the press?

It is something that Mel has done successfully following his arrest in July 2006 from driving under the influence and subsequent anti Semitic rant.

It is also possible says the source that the two met through the good offices of high powered L.A. attorney Blair Berk who represented Mel following his 2006 DUI arrest and, more recently, helped Britney’s father Jamie Spears serve a restraining order on Sam Lutfi.
