The key to Britney Spears getting her life back on track has been the intervention of her family. And last night, she was spotted grabbing a bite to eat with her brother.
The “Gimme More” singer headed out to Brentwood, California restaurant Peppone with her brother, Bryan Spears, for a laid back evening. And they looked happy to be hanging out again.
Perhaps they were discussing the “Toxic” singer’s career moves, as she may be delving into the world of television pretty soon. After her triumphant role on CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother,” Brit may have a few offers to review.
Executive producer Carter Bays told press, “We always said, ‘You know, if her character pops, we’ll bring her back.’ I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode.”
Although, the extra press attention threw the cast and crew for a loop. “It was totally weird. I think we have a very, like, kind of Midwestern homey vibe here on the show, and it was strange to suddenly have helicopters circling.”

While some celebrities jet off to exotic locations, and others rent out super exclusive clubs, Jamie Lynn Spears kept thing relatively low-key on her birthday.
Showing off her growing baby bump in a tight-fitting t-shirt/hoodie combo, the “Zoey 101” star rang in her “Zoey 101” star along with her fiancé/babydaddy Casey Aldridge with little pomp and fanfare.
The betrothed couple was spotted doing some bargain shopping at their local Wal Mart prior to a simple dinner out at chain restaurant Ruby Tuesdays.
All the while, Jamie Lynn was excited to show off her prized birthday gift, the engagement bling given to her by Aldridge last week. She told the shutterbugs, “I love it.”

Condolences this week to anyone who has squandered the housekeeping on Paris Hilton’s fragrance, Heiress. You thought you were buying a “lifestyle”, didn’t you? You were seduced by the promise of “top notes of champagne mimosa” with “base notes of blonde woods”. Oh, deary me. Here’s what two authorities on perfume have to say about it in a new book: “Hilariously vile. A 50/50 mix of cheap shampoo and canned peaches.”
Don’t feel so international jet set now? Never mind. You could have spent more on Carolina Herrera’s 212, which they describe as “like getting lemon juice in a paper cut”.
But thank God there’s something now to cut through the merde that surrounds the perfume industry and tell us what’s a stinker. Perfumes: The Guide by Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez is out this month in the States (Viking, $27.95) and, hell, do we need it. Did you hear that Britney Spears’ perfume has outsold all other celebrity fragrances, beating even St Kylie’s into second place? Yes, that would be the same poor, damaged Britney who was recently tied by her ankles to a stretcher and carted off to a psychiatric unit. Call me square, but that’s not a lifestyle one tends to covet. So why do so many people wish to smell of her? (more…)

While her sister Jamie-Lynn was celebrating her 17th birthday with a little shopping in Louisiana, big sister Britney Spears was busy checking out the latest trends, as well.
The Gimme More singer visited designer Christian Audigier’s corporate office at the “Ed Hardy” store in Los Angeles.
According to insider reports, Spears was there to check out his new spring collection and to get a few gifts for her little sis. But she also had business plans in mind, as she wants to work on a new line with the high profile designer.
In related news, an executive producer for “How I Met Your Mother” recently confirmed that he’s open to having Britney Spears return for another cameo.
“We always said, ‘You know, if her character pops, we’ll bring her back,’” Carter Bays told The Associated Press on Thursday. “I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode.”
Kevin Federline might play the part of the pauper to his pop princess ex-wife Britney Spears, but in Las Vegas he is king.
Federline spent over $43,000 on Las Vegas hotels, dining and shopping between May 2007 and January of this year, according to documents filed by Federline’s attorney in his custody battle with Spears. The documents were released by the Superior Court on Thursday.
The tabs included $1,445 for clothing at Gianni Versace, $3,863 at TAO nightclub, and $3,008 at the Hard Rock Beach Club.
He appears determined not to be branded a cheap tipper. At Scores strip club, he dropped a cool $2,000 on a $365 meal bill.
Meanwhile, his company, Gooseneck Productions, Inc., spent $841,129 in 2007 while earning $544,075, according to the documents.
The aspiring rapper also spent big on attempts to prop up his struggling music career.
Federline had $74,102 in “music production” expenses, but earned only $9,849 in “music income,” according to the documents, which did not elaborate.
The Superior Court commissioner dealing with the Federline-Spears custody battle has consistently awarded Federline attorneys fees.
In March, Spears’ divorce attorney, Stacy Phillips, argued that Federline’s attorneys were overbilling, and her client should not be required to pay.
Phillips said that Federline tipped extravagantly. Indeed, a credit card statement showed a $1,100 tip for a $2,782 bill at a Los Angeles restaurant.
Federline still owed $343,834 in fees to his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, when the documents released Thursday were filed in January.
Spears pays her ex-husband $15,000 per month in child support for 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James. Her monthly spousal support payments of $20,000 ended in November.
The accounting statement mixes personal expenses, like $1,500 per week for a nanny to care for the two toddlers, and business expenses, like $2,500 per month for his manager.
The bulk of Federline’s income came from his work on a Nationwide car insurance commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. Federline was paid $377,000 for playing a fry cook who dreams of being a rap star, wearing fur coats and flashing huge diamond rings.
He earned $15,000 for appearing at his 29th birthday party at Pure nightclub in Las Vegas, and $50,000 for a series of appearances at Las Vegas clubs in December 2007.
Federline also pays $18,228 per month in child support, rent and private school tuition for his two children from a previous relationship
