Pop princess Britney Spears showed her questionable sense of fashion during another day out shopping flanked by dozens of paparazzi and fans.

A more fresh-faced Britney went bra-less again while out shopping on Robertson Boulevard in Beverley Hills in a plunging black top, ripped jeans and cowboy boots.

But the 26-year-old obviously took a liking to certain outfits at Paige Denim store - she left wearing a shapeless blue and white stripe top as she was escorted out of the store by LA police.

Seven LAPD cars and two tourist buses, as well as dozens of snappers, were crowding around the store to catch a glimpse of the troubled popstar.

And later that evening, Britney was STILL wearing the same tired pair of brown cowboy boots she has worn since the height of her fame, and the unfashionable ripped jeans.
But she teamed them with a white see-through polo neck and bright yellow bra which looked too small for her ample chest.

It is almost a metaphor for her life - that even when Britney does get some support, it’s of the wrong kind.

Britney wore the questionable outfit to dinner with three friends at Dominicks but sneaked out of a back entrance at the end of the night.

Just recently – just yesterday, in fact - it seemed to all that, like Kurt Cobain and Vincent Van Gogh before her, Britney Spears had reached the end of the line. The feeling was she had nothing left to give - and that all she needed now was one small, gentle push into death’s eternal release. Ahh.

But, unlike like Kurt and Vince before her, she has seemingly decided that she actually does have something more to offer and that she is going to tour the world, giving it out for about $100 dollars a ticket!

To all of us who’ve once thought ‘what if Kurt hadn’t died?’ the remainder of Britney Spear’s life will no doubt offer the answers we’re after. Maybe nothing, maybe everything, will be justified.

The singer/dancer is said to be in training to hit the road again, which perhaps puts an end to previous ‘Britney’s next step’ rumours, such as becoming a regular on a TV sitcom, or playing the role of a deep-south mental patient on stage, but who knows - perhaps she could do all three?

Rolling Stone and former hellraiser Ronnie Wood has offered his personal help to troubled starlets Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.

Both Spears and Lohan spent time in rehab last year after brushes with addiction - an issue close to the guitarist’s heart.

Wood has long battled drinking problems, and spent time in a clinic as recently as 2006.

He says of Lohan and Spears: “The poor things. I’d love to help them. You’ve got to go through it to get to it. You have to experience all the lows because life is hard.”

Britney Spears has been offered the chance to play Blanche DuBois in an upcoming London stage play of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.

The Toxic singer, who earlier this week helped CBS sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ achieve its highest ever rating, would be following in the footsteps of actress Vivien Leigh if she decided to play the role of tragic alcoholic Blanche DuBois.

“Britney’s been on the list for some time but was considered too risky. Her appearance in How I Met Your Mother changed all that. She had poise, timing and flair,” The Daily Express quoted an insider, as saying,

“We wanted her for Blanche because while she’s technically too young, who else could embody this fallen Southern belle so well?

“Britney’s done it all, from being desired beyond all others to facing ridicule that she can’t quite understand – pure Blanche.

“She’s living out the story, so to harness that on stage would be amazing for an audience to see and therapeutic for Britney, too,” the insider said.

The ‘Toxic’ singer met with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier in Culver City, California, on Thursday (04.03.08) to discuss a fashion range.

Audigier told America’s Star magazine: “I have known Britney for a lengthy time- she is a good friend of mine. We’re talking about working together, designing a line of clothing.”

During the meeting, Britney and her mother Lynne picked out some Ed Hardy clothes to take home and happily chatted to staff in the office.

Marissa McMillion, who works for Ed Hardy, revealed: “She was really nice to everyone in the office. Her mom was with her and Britney asked us to send some
clothes to her sister Jamie Lynn for her birthday.

“Britney’s favorite piece was a leopard hoodie and she loved the sunglasses - she put them on immediately. But most of all she was a fan of Christian Audigier’s own line.”

If the deal goes ahead, Britney, 26, would be the latest in a distant line of celebrities to release a clothes range.
