Pregnant teen Jamie Lynn Spears and her boyfriend Casey Aldridge are looking to welcome their first child in a new home - the parents-to-be are househunting in Mississippi. According to reports, the couple has already made their first offer on a three-bedroom house in the town of Liberty.
Zoey 101 star Spears, who is seven months pregnant, has offered close to $300,000 for the house. It boasts a loft, marble floors, a remodeled kitchen and games room. An insider says, “Jamie Lynn is really excited over having a home of her own.”
It seems pretty clear that Jamie Lynn is planning on raising her baby in Kentwood, despite previous reports that she was going to return to L.A. to work on her acting career. The National Ledger reports that Jamie Lynn has turned to Casey’s family for support during her pregnancy.
Larry Rudolph is denying rumors that Britney Spears is recording a new LP under his supervision and is insisting their recent trip to a studio together was “just for fun”.
Rudolph, who is credited with discovering the toxic singer when she was just 15, was reportedly dismissed as her manager after he joined forces with her parents and staged an intervention to get Spears to enter rehab. But the former manager recently sparked rumors he has reconciled with Spears by declaring she is set to make a triumphant comeback to the music business.
The pair fuelled speculation about their reunion when they were seen entering a Los Angeles California recording studio together earlier this week. But Rudolph has denied they are working on a new project together. He tells Usmagazine.com, “We went into the studio, but it was just for fun nothing more.” A source confirms to the publication, “She just wanted to go in and tinker (play) around. She sat at a piano and got some ideas. She played the piano and sang a bit. She enjoyed herself.”
A Los Angeles court on Thursday ordered payment of nearly $400,000 to the various lawyers representing Britney Spears and her family involved with conservatorship case.
Commissioner Reva Goetz ordered the attorneys paid from Spears’ assets, which are under the control of her father, James Spears, and attorney Andrew Wallet. They have had control of the pop star’s finances and estate since she was hospitalized twice in January.
There are two conservators of Spears’ financial, medical and legal decisions: Andrew Wallet and her father, Jamie. Wallet, who has not been paid yet, will be given $100,000. Jamie is being paid $2,500 per week.
Samuel Ingham, Spears’ court-appointed attorney, will continue to receive $10,000 a week, Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled.
Jamie’s attorney, Geraldine Wyle, will get $175,000; trust attorney Clark Byam will be paid $22,500; and Stacy Phillips, Britney’s new divorce lawyer, will receive $75,000.
Goetz scheduled the next conservatorship hearing for May 29.
Regarding Brit’s custody case, the singer is required to complete a 730 psych evaluation by May 6. She has repeatedly refused to turn in any form of evaluation in the past, so it will be interesting to see if she complies this time.
Also on May 6, Britney is expected to ask for overnight visits with her sons. However, if she once again refuses to complete a psych evaluation, Commissioner Gordon may not consider that request.
The singer’s father and Wallet remain in control of her life until a July 31 hearing.
Life has changed much for Britney Spears who, from routinely flashing her crotch sans panties during late night forays to night clubs, has now resorted to hiding behind blankets, as she did Thursday, April 17, when she visited a salon in West Hollywood, Ca.
The change in her lifestyle is for the good. Ironically, even a change for the good can cost a packet these days. LA Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, who is overseeing Britney’s conservatorship, ruled Thursday that she needs to pay nearly $400,000 to the numerous lawyers that have been minding her affairs.
While $400,000 may not be an unnerving expense for the pop star, whose assets are estimated at around $100 million, the fact that it covers just three months of her conservatorship is probably not lost on Britney, who continues to pull her life together.
On Wednesday evening, April 16, Britney was seen visiting a recording studio, for the third day in a row, suggesting that a professional comeback is on the cards. She has also been working out regularly.
More gratifying than her visits to the studio and gym is the quite time she has been spending at home, some of it with her toddlers.
