Good old Jamie Spears appears to be doing a wonderful job keeping his daughter Britney on the straight and narrow these days (as long as you don’t mention the fact that she went on holiday with Mel Gibson, Sugartits). Why wouldn’t he? He loves his daughter and wants the best for her, so keeping an eye out for his child is a small price to pay. Britney’s well-being is his greatest reward.

His job as a ‘private chef’. Or what some people might call a ‘cook’ (great, another self-important, rich cook called Jamie). So he has managed to get his monthly stipend back-paid to cover any loss of earnings due to acting like a normal father. He decided to pay himself (from Britney’s estate) $10,000 for lost wages.

The court papers said:”As a result of the responsibilities Mr Spears has assumed as Temporary Conservator of the Person and Temporary Co-Conservator of the Estate, he has been unable to continue his prior employment and thus no longer has the source of income he previously had in order to pay his expenses and bills.”

The young music mogul who was caught up in a Britney Spears baby scandal last year has lured the pop star back to the studio.
Producer J.R. Rotem has teamed up with hitmaker Sean Garrett to help the pop star make a start on a comeback album.
And he insists Spears is back at her best after a crazy 2007 ended with hospitalisations for a bipolar disorder, custody battles and career issues.
He says, “She’s great. She’s like a master at what she does. She’s a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the ‘it’ factor that not every artist has.
“It’s always nice to work with her.”
Rotem briefly dated Spears last year and hit the headlines when he suggested the pop star might be pregnant in a stray text message.
A source close to Spears confirms the singer is working on the “experimental stages” of a new album - the follow-up to Blackout, which was released in October 2007.
And Garrett tells People magazine, “I’m just happy to see her back and recovering. She’s really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. I’m really proud and happy to see her.”

Britney Spears and George Maloof Jr. dined at the boutique Italian Il Sole restaurant on Sunset Boulevard.

The forty-three-year old is the owner of the Sacramento Kings, the Sacramento Monarchs and the Palms Hotel and Casino in Nevada. He has had a string of celebrity girlfriends including Playboy favourite Tishara Cousino, American Pie’s Tara Reid and reality TV star Nicole Richie.

George Maloof Jr. and Britney Spears have been friends for years, and the pop star’s ex-husband Kevin Federline and her father Jamie have both had business dealings with the casino boss in the past.

The dinner is said to have been a business affair, and note a date. The two have known eachother for years, and back in 2004 he had dinner with her right before her brief Las Vegas marriage to Jason Alexander. She also had dinner with her earlier this month.

So what sort of business could they be talking? Well according to this week’s edition of the National Enquirer, Britney is planning a “multi-million dollar stage production she hopes will jump-start her career.”

According to a source who spoke with the magazine, Britney is working hard at getting back in shape and wants “to make a splashy comeback in Las Vegas. She wants the show to be full of high energy and flashy costume changes.”

Britney is reported in negotiations to perform six shows for about $10 million. If these sell out, she is hoping that the Palms will keep her on for a longer stint in Sin City.

The “Toxic” singer looked to be enjoying herself, sporting a strapless black dress with a blue fringe around the bottom, a thin strand necklace, and a pair of peep-toe heels.

Jamie Lynn Spears let slip in an interview that she’s due to give birth to a baby girl. Britney Spears’ sister is expecting her first child with fiancé Casey Aldridge this

summer. The 17-year-old TV star revealed the sex of the baby while talking about her pregnancy.

‘When she kicks me, I love it,’ she says.

‘I want to squeeze her already. I do talk to her, you know, like all mums talk to their babies.

‘I just tell her how much I love her.’

And she reveals that Casey is very attentive.

‘He asks me every five seconds how I’m doing,’ she says.

‘He cares about me and has really been there for me.’
