The hourlong season—and series—finale of the hit Nick tween comedy, billed as the Zoey 101 movie Chasing Zoey, was the most watched show in the 10,000-show cable universe, averaging 5.1 million viewers, per the latest Nielsen Media Research rankings.

Another Zoey 101 airing after the finale placed second, with 5 million viewers.

The shows aired Friday, the night before the pregnant Spears celebrated a baby shower in Louisiana with her family, elder sister Britney Spears included.

In real life, the 17-year-old Spears is expecting her first out-of-wedlock child this summer. In Zoey life, Spears’ character went gently into the prom night after sharing a chaste first kiss with her star-crossed crush, Sean Flynn’s Chase Matthews.

As previously announced, Zoey’s just-concluded fourth season was its last.

One of Nick’s top shows, the comedy only got bigger with its with-child star. January’s season opener, airing a month after the Spears pregnancy story broke, averaged a series-best 7.3 million viewers.

The Website Krugle.org, which lets programmers search through computer code that others have written and made available, released a list of the non-tech terms most commonly included in these programs. The most popular term: “Knuth,” a reference Donald Knuth, a famous computer scientist. It makes sense that techies would want to honor one of their heroes. But then it gets weird. Second place, according to Krugle, went to the term “Satan,” which we hope is a joke rather than a reference to another hero. Third place went to “George Bush,” which edged out “Britney Spears.” “Fidel Castro” came in fifth. (Our own search of their site produced a slightly different order, but in each case there were hundreds and in some cases thousands of programs that contained the terms.)

These words are the titles that programmers give pieces of their software, say a snippet of code that takes the text from a field on a Web site and enters it into a database, or notes that they include for kicks, Mel Badgett, Krugle’s vice president of product marketing, tells the Business Technology Blog. They don’t have any impact on how a particular program runs and they’re visible only to other programmers who know where to look. But they do offer a window into programmers’ minds, Badgett tells us.

For example, one programmer included this note in his code: “I wanna thank www.desktopgirls.com for their very good Britney Spears pics that let me be calm while doing this project!?”

“This is an inside joke” for developers, Badgett says. Hiding these terms in their code “is like reality TV for these guys.”

Ashlee Simpson says that she will not turn out like troubled pop stars Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan. The singer has credited her fiancé Pete Wentz with keeping her “grounded.”

“I don’t see myself following the path those girls take. I’m almost 24. I’m pretty together and I’m getting married,” Simpson says. “I would never let myself get that way and I don’t surround myself with ‘yes’ people. I think that’s the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, Simpson is rumored to be pregnant with her and her Wentz’s first child.

Britney Spears’ visitation rights with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James have been expanded following a hearing with ex-husband Kevin Federline in Los Angeles family court on Tuesday morning 06-May-2008.
Documents were reviewed in a closed court session, and though the existing custodial arrangement remains in place between the singer and her ex-husband Kevin Federline, both parties insist there has been progress.
Britneys’ custody rights were suspended since early January, when she was involuntarily hospitalized after she refused to turn over her youngest son, Jayden James, to K-Fed’s bodyguard.
Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said Spears had been granted greater visitation rights in Tuesday’s hearing, but it was unclear exactly how much more time she would be allowed to spend with the children.
“We are pleased with the progress that seems to be occurring,” Kaplan told reporters. “It’s a cautious step but a step nonetheless. The (visitation) modifications will be phased in (in) the near future.”
It is a cautious step, but a step forward nonetheless,” said Kaplan . “We are seeing signs of [Britney’s] progress, and consistency over time is something welcome by Kevin … The children are doing great.”
“The children (Sean Preston and Jayden James) are doing great — that’s the key,” Kaplan also said. “That’s what all of this is about.”
Court spokesman Allan Parachini also read a statement to the press from Britney’s divorced parents, Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears.
“We are so pleased with Britney’s progress, and we are very appreciative of the court’s recognition of this progress,” he said.
Britney, who was seen teary eyed during a break in the hearing, was smiling when she left the court and walked to her SUV with Jamie and Lynne without speaking to the press. Kevin Federline smiled but did not say anything too.
The next progress hearing is set for July 15) and another hearing will be held in August to review “how the modified custody arrangement has evolved”.
