Asked about the current status of the relationship between the Britney and K-Fed, including the rumor they would again star together on a TV show - Kaplan sidestepped direct answers, instead focusing on the boys.

“If you’re going to have two parents participate in the lives of raising their children,” said Kaplan, “there has to be some camaraderie between them for that to be a meaningful expectation and reality.”

On Britney’s behavior:
Kaplan highlighted the “improvement” in Britney’s condition and added that due to this “improvement” she was able to spend full days, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on both May 8th and Mother’s Day with her sons.

On the possibility that we’ll see the two starring on TV together:
Kaplan dodged these questions but noted that any potential reconciliation between the two would be for the sake of their boys.

Jamie Lynn Spears, knocked-up Nickelodeon star and Britney’s lil’ sis, celebrated Mother’s Day with her fiance and his mother on Sunday. Glammed up in a bright print dress and yellow heels, the expectant Spears, 17, gassed up her Range Rover on Saturday and headed to Liberty, Miss, where friends threw an early-evening event attended by “30 or 40 people,” a source tells PEOPLE.
While the baby’s father, Casey Aldridge, did not put in an appearance, his mom Joyce and sister Ashley were both in attendance. “This one was more [Casey’s] family.”

The troubled singer, who went to Kentwood, Louisiana, recently for her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower, had to ask her dad Jamie if she was allowed to make the trip.

A friend of the star said: “He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It’s not that he doesn’t want her there for her little sister. It’s just that he thinks it’s best to keep Britney close to home right now.”

The friend also revealed Britney - who hadn’t visited Kentwood for 16 months before the shower - is planning a second trip after promising Jamie Lynn she would be there for the birth of her baby.

The source added to TV network E!: “At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time.”

“I’m not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited.”

Britney’s father Jamie is currently co-conservator of her estate, meaning he has control of her business and personal affairs. Jamie Lynn and boyfriend Casey Aldridge are expecting their first baby on June 29.
