Aslee Simpson was left more than a little embarrassed when she inadvertently called pop peer Britney Spears trashy in a recent radio interview.
Quizzed about her knowledge on London rhyming slang during a recent visit to the U.K., Simpson was asked what she thought the phrase, “You’ve had one-too-many Britney Spears” meant.
Unaware the term referred to someone who had drunk too much beer, Simpson offered her take on the phrase and immediately wished she had kept her mouth shut.
Speaking on British music show The Nokia Green Room, she recalled, “I was like, ‘Oh, you’ve had one too many trashy girls!’ And I was like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe I just said that!
“It was really bad, I felt horrible.”

State health regulators have linked 14 more people to the improper accessing of medical records of high-profile patients at UCLA Medical Center.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that brings to 68 the total of those implicated in the scandal.

Actress Farrah Fawcett, pop star Britney Spears and California first lady Maria Shriver are among the 61 patients whose medical records were breached.

Authorities on April 28 announced the indictment of former UCLA Medical employee Lawanda Jackson on one count of illegally obtaining individually identifiable health information for commercial advantage.

Jackson, 49, resigned in July. Last month the Times reported she acknowledged snooping in records but denied giving out the information or being paid for it.

Britney Spears appeared in bedroom scenes with Neil Patrick Harris in her return appearance in the US sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which aired in the US last night.

In the episode Britney reprised her role as ditzy Abby, who dates serial womaniser Barney (Harris) but she still seems to be longing for her other crush, Ted (Josh Radnor).

The show’s co-creator, Craig Thomas, was so impressed with Britney’s performance second time round that the door has been left open for her to return next season.

“She was better than the first time and I think fans will enjoy it because her return answers a mystery set up earlier in the series,” he says via the Daily Mail.

Britney also seems to be enjoying her new acting sideline, enthusing in a statement: “I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn’t wait to come back.”

“Abby is going to have a lot of fun!”

Britney Spears did it again and got involved in minor car accident Tuesday afternoon. The singer allegedly rear-ended a Ford SUV while driving her white Mercedes SL on Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills. No one was injured and police were not involved. Photos and video do not reveal any visible damage to either car.
The female driver of the SUV, which is registered to an Edith Cortese, followed Brit back to her house inside the gated community of The Summit. Instead of calling the police, the witness says that Brit’s guard calmed the driver down and invited her over to the house.
The driver of the SUV exited The Summit minutes later and returned to her home in Los Angeles.
Britney was involved in a separate fender-bender on April 12. No one was injured or cited in that accident.

Despite hitting the gym near-constantly, Britney has a little belly, which from some angles looks suspiciously like a pregnancy. The Daily Mail reported this earlier in the week, but it may be caused by a smidgeon of bloat.
Some commentors on X17’s site accuse the agency of photoshopping the pictures in order to increase traffic, and it’s possible. Others say that the psychiatric medication Britney is on can cause bloating, which may be what we’re seeing here.
It wouldn’t be the first false pregnancy alarm for Britney. Let’s wait.
