Jamie Lynn Spears has high risk of preeclampsia
Big sister Britney Spears had all sorts of drama during her two pregnancies and now it appears that the same thing might be happening for Jamie Lynn. Though Jamie Lynn Spears hasn’t had any Britney like emergency hospital runs that sent the paparazzi into a tizzy a new report details that she might have labor induced early.
Although her due date is June 29, Life & Style Weekly reports that they have learned that Jamie Lynn may have her labor induced earlier. The reason: She’s being watched says an insider, for preeclampsia, a dangerous condition that involves narrowing of the blood vessels, which her sister, Britney, 26, reportedly suffered from while pregnant with her second child. With the vessels constricted, circulation to the baby is at risk. “Her doctors are concerned, ” insiders tell the magazine.
The reason doctors are concerned, according to the report, she’s under 20, an age group linked with high risk of preeclampsia - and she’s displaying its physical symptoms, including swollen feet. “Her ankles and feet have gotten big,” the insider says. “If it gets worse, they might have to induce sooner than expected.”
With temperatures in her hometown of Kentwood, La., reaching nearly 90 degrees of late, the heat is a major source of discomfort for Jamie Lynn. “She’s up tossing and turning all night,” says a family insider. “She just can’t sleep.” And with the baby kicking constantly, Jamie Lynn’s completely exhausted. Says the insider, “Her lower back is killing her.”
