Britney spears’ brother Bryan and ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake have landed at the top of a new list of sexy single men.
The two both appear on People magazine’s new Single and Sexy Men of 2008 countdown.
Joining them are stars such as Gerard Butler, John Mayer, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and American Idol winner David Cook.
Scarlett Johansson’s twin brother Hunter and Gossip Girl hunks Penn Badgley, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford also make the list.
Britney Spears is acting as matchmaker for her brother - because she’s worried he’s getting too old to find love.
The singer has been trying to set up 31-year-old Bryan with her friends and colleagues, because she hates his choices of girlfriends, and fears he will end up a middle-aged bachelor.
Bryan reveals, “She thinks I should be married by now. She tries to set me up with people, but if I started to seriously date someone, I don’t think she’d like them at first because she’s very protective.”
More shocking details about a new Britney Spears expose have come out as biographer Ian Halperin continues to talk to the media about his investigation of the pop star.
Halperin spent 18 months as an undercover paparazzi getting close to Spears and her inner circle of managers and friends, and now plans to release a book full of his findings.
After telling U.S. magazine of the singer’s two apparent suicide attempts, which he’ll write about in the book, Halperin claims the Toxic singer’s problems were fuelled by drugs and the company she keeps.
The award-winning journalist says, “I saw a lot. I partied with her and was able to really monitor what type of stuff she was using. It’s very concerning.
“(But) the book is mainly about her handlers, how sleazy and destructive they are toward her. The people around her are like vultures.”
Halperin insists his book won’t be a hatchet job on a troubled star - he witnessed enough to make him realise that Spears is basically a good person: “She’s actually a very caring mom.”
But he worries she’s in danger of suffering a “catastrophic relapse” of her bipolar issues.
He tells Life + Style, “Britney herself warned me that with her, it’s always two steps forward, one step back.”
A paparazzo who pressed charges against Britney Spears after her car allegedly ran over his foot was himself to blame for any injury it may have caused, prosecutors said in refusing to pursue the case.
After reviewing police records and a videotape of the incident last year, Deputy District Attorney Joseph D. Shidler wrote Friday that the “only way the victim’s foot could have been where the video indicates it to be was by the victim placing it in that location.”
The photographer, who was not identified in the report, filed a criminal complaint against Spears in early May, nearly six months after the alleged incident. A copy of the police complaint was not immediately available Monday, but it sought a felony charge of failing to stop after an accident involving an injury.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley’s office reviewed a videotape and photos of the incident, which don’t show the photographer being hit. The report also describes a chaotic scene surrounding Spears, with photographers on all sides of her car and “a lot of noise and confusion.”
The report describes Spears’ as “driving at an extremely slow rate of speed and in a straight path.”
The 26-year-old pop star has had her share of trouble behind the wheel, including a highly publicized incident in 2006 where she was photographed driving with her son on her lap.
A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge stemming from a 2007 parking lot crash was dismissed after she settled with the car’s owner. In October, she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license, and earlier this year was involved in a minor fender-bender on a Los Angeles freeway.

A decision on whether to end Britney’s temporary conservatorship, or make it permanent, will not be taken after a hearing on July 31, as planned earlier.
Instead, that hearing will be used to review the case once again, giving lawyers more time to gather and compile information.
In a probate hearing on the case Tuesday, June 17, Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz granted Britney’s father and co-conservator, Jamie Spears, permission to sell her $7.2 million, 7,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style villa in Studio City.
Britney’s court-appointed attorney, Samuel Ingham, informed the court that the recovering pop star would be out of state for several days. Though he did not explain why, Britney’s 17-year-old pregnant sister Lynn Spears is due this month and Britney is expected to join her family in Kentwood, La. to be with Lynn.
It is not clear whether the postponement will improve Britney’s chances of regaining control over her life and assets by giving her more time to recover.
At an earlier hearing in the case on May 29, Goetz had decided not to make any changes to the conservatorship, ruling that Britney’s condition continues to be ‘tenuous.’
A temporary conservatorship was created by Commissioner Reva Goetz on February 2 to oversee Britney and her estate, while the troubled pop star recovers her mental health.
Jamie and his attorney Andrew Wallet were appointed conservators of her estate and assets.
