Wimbledon season has began and Tennis mega star and one half of the Williams sisters Venus, tells the Timesonline how much she loves Britney’s new album.

“My preparation includes breakfast at home in the morning and then practice. My music of choice has been the new Britney Spears album, which is upbeat and helps me get my day started on the good foot.”

Pop princess Britney Spears is planning to be queen of the castle by moving into this palatial $10.8 million mansion, US sources have revealed. The Gimme More singer is said to have set her sights on the huge pad as she gets ready to move out of Hollywood.

She has reportedly been “looking like crazy” for a place in the quieter surroundings of the San Fernando Valley on the outskirts of Los Angeles. And insiders say the sprawling Calabasas home in an exclusive gated community is her first choice.

It is known as Chateau Suenos and boasts a home movie theatre, a swimming pool, an outside spa and a mini courtyard with a water feature. There are also spectacular views for miles around. Britney reportedly wants to distance herself from the chaos that has surrounded her at her Hollywood Hills home by moving to the calmness of the Valley.

A move to Calabasas would bring her closer to ex-husband Kevin Federlines Tarzana home and her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Click the pic above to view the full set!

Mel Gibson has twin sons who turn 26 this year, Edward and Christian, who both have stints in rehab. Ed was out of rehab late last year for an alcohol and cocaine addiction, and Christian got a DUI in 2006 and checked into rehab in late January of this year. Mel, who has also has a well publicized DUI under his belt, has recently befriended pop singer Britney Spears, 26. Britney has spent time at Mel’s estate in Costa Rica and has been seen out to dinner with him and his family.

While some speculated that Mel wanted to help Britney with her personal problems, and others wondered if he was trying to convert her to his unique brand of Catholicism, Mel may have had another motivation for spending time with Britney. The National Enquirer reports that Mel tried to set Britney up with the less messed-up twin her age, Edward, but that Britney wasn’t having that. Mel’s son Edward is working his recovery program and the Enquirer says Mel believed he would be a good influence on her.

Jaime Spears is doing his fatherly duty and trying to get some freedom for Britney. The two were in an L.A. parking garage when Jaime spotted some paps ‘ambushing’ them in the distance. Jaime got out of the car and requested that the two leave.

Britney Spears got a pretty big reward for all of the hard work she’s done straightening out her life. Last week it was reported that Britney was granted some overnight visits with her sons. This past Saturday Sean Preston and Jayden James spent the night at their mother’s home for the first time since she was hospitalized in January.

Britney Spears spent Saturday night with her boys at her Los Angeles home. It was the singer’s first overnight visit with Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since she was hospitalized at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January. The boys were dropped off Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a source.

“Britney was very upset after the kids left,” the source tells Usmagazine.com. “She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months.”

Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline — who was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend — are gearing up for a custody trial, set to begin August 25. Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! that a mediation session last Thursday didn’t result in a custody agreement. Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2 and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms. Said Kaplan, “If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties … we wouldn’t have to go to trial. But that didn’t happen.”

Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, who worked with Spears on her 2001 album, Britney, producing the remix for the track Overprotected and I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, told Rap-Up TV that he is working on “very dancey, really up-tempo, aggressive, catchy, and hook friendly” material for Britney’s next album.

“It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song. She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 — did the whole song — in and out. …I love working with her. I’m just trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project.”

The pair have been working together for around four weeks and Jerkins says that after her failed ‘comeback’ at the MTV Awards last year, the singer is on a new path to success.

“I was very happy to see that she was working on the positive side and she’s moving toward new things now. I think it’s about to be her time again.”

Spears, who made a professional comeback in 2007 with the release of her sixth studio album, Blackout, after a four year hiatus, was back in the studio in May with producers JR Rotem and Sean Garrett evolving the sound and direction for her next album.

Speaking at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills on May 20, Rotem told People, “She’s great. She’s like a master at what she does. She’s a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the ‘it’ factor that not every artist has. So it’s always nice to work with her.”
